Ingredients
– 680g sirloin steak
– 30g butter
– 1 large onion, chopped
– 3 tbsp Scotch whisky
– 60ml double cream
– Salt and pepper

1. Cut the beef into thin strips.

2. Cook the beef strips and onion in the butter for 5-10 minutes, until the beef is brown and cooked to taste.

3. Stir in the Scotch whisky and cream. Heat gently to reduce slightly before serving.
* Alternatively, if you prefer a full sirloin with the sauce on the side, you can skip step 1 and remove the steak from the saucepan before proceeding to step 3.
